SUPPORTING SOCIAL PURPOSE ENTERPRISES
provides consulting and coaching for Boards, Chief Executives and top teams in social purpose organisations. Our particular strength is in helping to resolve situations of conflict or crisis. Such contexts can arise for many reasons - performance weaknesses in key staff, rapid change of external demands, unwillingness to face up to major difficulties. But the most common cause of such difficulty is the development of marked differences in alignment of objectives and values.
In any organisation, achieving full alignment of views and objectives within a senior group of strong-minded individuals can be difficult. In social purpose organisations, where people are often driven by personal idealism, it is even more difficult to find accommodation. In commercial organisations, the perceived solution is generally a major change of key players. In the community sector and in values-based organisations, less brutal mechanisms are almost certainly required.
We help to evaluate what is driving the crisis through providing analysis and feedback and work with key participants to identify and recognise what must be done. We then support all key actors through processes of mediation, coaching and support for all the necessary changes to get the organisation back onto a level footing and to enable it to move forward in an agreed strategy.
is led by a group of experienced consultants, who have all worked at the highest levels as directors, chairmen, trustees and consultants, and who have an unusually deep and broad range of experience, knowledge and networks. With experience in commercial, public and community sectors, we are now dedicated to supporting and improving social purpose enterprises.
In particular, we work with housing associations, health and care organisations and medium sized charities and community businesses.
has formal links with YSC Ltd, the premier UK corporate psychology practice, and, where necessary, are able to use their extensive skills in senior assessments and organisational benchmarking to bring a psychological perspective to assignments. We also find that there is considerable benefit from using YSC's survey feedback division, Psymmetry, for analysing attitudes in some of our assignments.
